Treatment of Genital herpes with Allokin-alpha

TREATMENT REGIMEN OF GENITAL HERPES WITH ALLOKIN-ALPHA
1. Classical treatment regimen of genital herpes

Classical treatment regimen of genital herpes at a recurrence rate of less than one time per 2 months:

  • 1.0 mg Allokin-Alpha subcutaneously every second day (3 capsules, 1 pack).
2. Moderately severe genital herpes

Cases of moderately severe herpes (1 recurrence per 2 months):

  • at 1st recurrence - 1 injection of Allokin-alpha, for 2 days, then in a day after the last injection (for example, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday).
  • at 2nd recurrence – standard regimen.

In remission Roncoleukin or Derinat ought to be taken. The following regimen can be used as well:

  • 1.0 mg of Allokin-alpha subcutaneously in a day 6 capsules (2 packs), in remission Proteflazid or Derinat ought to be taken.
3. Severe Genital herpes

Severe cases of herpes (from 1 to 3 recurrences per month):

  • at 1st recurrence 3.0 mg subcutaneously 3 capsules (1 pack) at a time, 3 such injections in a day (totally 9 capsules, i.e. 3 packages);
  • at 2nd recurrence - a classic treatment regimen;
  • at 3rd recurrence – 1.0 mg subcutaneously single injection (1 capsule).
4. Orofacial herpes

Skin Herpes of type 1, genital herpes is associated with the first type, herpetic keratitis:

  • 1.0 mg subcutaneously 6 capsules (2 packs) in a day. In case of treatment in acute it should be treated in complex with acyclovir (valtrex, phamvir).

This treatment regimen is standard for the treatment of herpesvirus infection with Allokin-alpha. But only a treating physician can finally decide the duration of treatment and number of injections.
